Château Monbrison

Château Monbrison sits in Margaux, the Médoc's most refined appellation, where gravelly soils and maritime influence shape wines of elegance and structure. The estate produces two wines that reflect the region's character: Margaux, a Cabernet Sauvignon–led blend with Petit Verdot and Merlot, and Margaux de Monbrison, a Cabernet Franc–based expression with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Both have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Falstaff, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator. The flagship Margaux achieves an average prestige rating of 88.0, while the secondary wine averages 85.8. These scores reflect wines built on the classical Bordeaux framework: dark fruit, fine tannins, and the mineral precision that defines left-bank Médoc production.
