Fabianek is situated in Weinland, the easternmost wine region of Niederösterreich in Austria. The winery produces red wines anchored in two of Austria's signature varieties: Zweigelt, the country's most planted red grape, and Merlot, which thrives in the continental climate of the region. The Merlot Barrique Terroir expresses the mineral character of its terroir through oak aging, while the Zweigelt captures the variety's characteristic dark cherry and subtle spice. The Cuvée Michell Barrique blends Zweigelt with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, creating a structured wine that reflects the winery's approach to both indigenous and international varieties. Falstaff has rated these wines.
