Jean-Michel Sorrel

Jean-Michel Sorrel produces wines from Hermitage, the storied Northern Rhône appellation where steep granite slopes and continental climate forge wines of mineral intensity and structure. The winery's Vieilles Vignes Le Vignon blanc—a blend of Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier—captures the white wine tradition of the region: layered, textured, with the weight and complexity that old vines impart. The red, built from Syrah, expresses Hermitage's signature dark fruit and peppery spine, shaped by the terroir's demanding conditions. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator.
