Reiss

Reiss produces wines from Franken, Germany's distinctive continental wine region known for mineral-driven whites and the indigenous Silvaner grape. The winery's top expressions center on Silvaner from the Würzburger Pfaffenberg vineyard—a site that yields both dry and sweet interpretations of the variety. The Würzburger Pfaffenberg Auslese Silvaner, a late-harvest expression, and the Würzburger Pfaffenberg Silvaner Trocken, its dry counterpart, represent the range of the vineyard's character. A Riesling from the Randersackerer Pfülben vineyard rounds out the portfolio. Falstaff has rated these wines. Franken's cool climate and limestone-rich soils shape wines of precision and structure, with Silvaner expressing the region's mineral signature through crisp acidity and subtle complexity.
