Domaine Georges Vernay produces wines from the Rhone Valley, focusing on two of the region's most distinctive appellations. The winery's Viognier-based Condrieu wines—Coteau de Vernon Condrieu and Les Chaillées de L'Enfer Condrieu—represent the aromatic, full-bodied character for which the appellation is prized. Condrieu's steep granite slopes and continental climate coax richness and complexity from Viognier, a variety that demands precision in the vineyard and cellar. The winery also produces Blonde du Seigneur, a Côte-Rôtie built from Syrah, the dark-fruited backbone of the northern Rhone. Côte-Rôtie's terraced vineyards yield wines of structure and depth, often marked by the region's signature peppery minerality. Wines from Domaine Georges Vernay have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Decanter.
