La Meridiana

La Meridiana is a winery in Lombardia, in northern Italy's lake district. The house produces wines from native and regional varieties—Turbiana, Bonarda, Marzemino, Groppello, and Sangiovese among them—that reflect the terroir of the Garda zone and surrounding appellations. The portfolio centers on three flagship expressions. Can da la Bissa Rosè Spumante Brut Millesimato, a sparkling wine built from Bonarda, Malvasia, Ortrugo, and Barbera, represents the house's approach to effervescent wines. Garda Chiaretto, a dry rosé made from Marzemino, Groppello, Sangiovese, and Barbera, captures the lighter, mineral-driven character typical of the region's pale reds. Lugana, crafted from Turbiana, is a white wine anchored in one of Lombardia's most distinctive grape varieties. Decanter and Wine Enthusiast have rated these wines.
