Lorenz Alphart operates in the Thermenregion, a distinctive corner of Niederösterreich in Austria's Weinland. The winery focuses on two compelling expressions: a Pinot Noir Reserve that demonstrates the grape's capacity for structure and depth in this continental climate, and a Rotgipfler Ried Pressweingarten—a wine built from Rotgipfler, the indigenous white variety that defines much of the region's identity. Rotgipfler brings mineral tension and herbal complexity to the Thermenregion's warm terroir. Wine Spectator has rated both wines, affirming their technical merit.
