Xavier Monnot

Xavier Monnot produces white wines from Burgundy's most prestigious terroirs. The winery focuses on Chardonnay, drawing from two of the region's most coveted appellations: Meursault, where limestone-rich soils yield wines of mineral precision and complexity, and Corton-Charlemagne, a Grand Cru site known for Chardonnay of structure and depth. The Meursault 1er Cru 'Charmes' and Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru anchor the portfolio, both expressing the classical elegance that defines white Burgundy. A third flagship, Meursault 'Les Chevalières', rounds out the core offerings. These wines have been assessed by major critics including Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Falstaff, and Decanter. The house exemplifies Burgundy's commitment to site-driven winemaking, where subtle variations in soil and exposure shape the character of each wine.
