Burgundy is located in France's CΓ΄te de Nuits region and is known for its red wines. Its name comes from the town of Beaune, where the wine trade began in the Middle Ages. Today, the area produces mainly Pinot Noir grapes, although Chardonnay and Gamay grapes are also grown here.
