Secret Squirrel produces wines from Columbia Valley, Washington's warm, sun-exposed plateau in the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains. The winery focuses on two core expressions: a Cabernet Sauvignon that draws on the region's ability to ripen Bordeaux varieties with structure and depth, and a Rhône Blend built from Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Grenache—varieties that thrive in Columbia Valley's continental climate. Both wines have been assessed by major critics including Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Decanter, and Falstaff. The Cabernet Sauvignon achieved an average prestige rating of 89.0, while the Rhône Blend averaged 88.4. Columbia Valley's elevation, diurnal temperature swing, and volcanic soils create conditions suited to bold red wines with ripe fruit and tannin definition.
