Name: Bellota Wine Bar
Address: 181 Bank Street, 3205, Melbourne, Australia, Melbourne, australia

Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you want direct, unfiltered access to a serious retail wine cellar. The unique corkage model that treats the shop's entire inventory as the bar list is a specific draw for wine enthusiasts.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

Drinkers who want to choose from a vast retail selection, collectors with specific bottles in mind, and anyone who prefers transparent corkage over a limited by-the-glass list. It works for both the knowledgeable and those looking for guidance.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

The wine. The experience is built around selecting a bottle from the Prince Wine Store next door. Browse the shop's shelves—with over 3,500 bottles—and bring your choice to the table, paying a small corkage fee.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

Book directly with the venue. It's open from midday to 11 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

The corkage fee is $20 per bottle for both lunch and dinner. The venue is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The model means you're not limited to a standard wine list; the shop's inventory is your extended menu.
