Address: 39 Getreidegasse, 5020, Salzburg, Österreich, Salzburg, austria

Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you want a classic Salzburg dining experience rooted in history and tradition, not a contemporary showpiece. The historic setting on Getreidegasse is integral to the meal.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

It's for diners who value architectural atmosphere and reliable Austrian fare—ideal for date nights, special occasions, or small groups where conversation and classic cuisine matter.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

Lean into the Austrian classics. The Wiener schnitzel and Salzburger Nockerl are signature expressions of the restaurant's regional, Gasthof-rooted philosophy.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

Reservations are recommended, especially during the Salzburg Festival season from late July through August.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

Expect a relaxed, table-centered pace. The old-house acoustics and layout favor conversation and a measured service rhythm, not a fast-casual or counter experience.
