Good to know

Is it worth going out of your way for?: Yes, if you want Italian cooking with Michelin-recognised value. The consecutive Bib Gourmand awards signal consistent, ingredient-honest cooking at a mid-range price, a notable find in a Flemish village.
Who is it for?: Couples and small groups seeking a quiet, romantic meal of thoughtful Italian food without pretense. It suits diners who appreciate a vegetable-forward, seasonal approach and a measured, conversational pace.
What should you order?: Focus on the vegetable plates and seasonal produce. Start with antipasti like eggplant with zucchini and tomato, then consider a risotto (such as butternut pumpkin) or the cod baked with garden vegetables.
How do you get a table?: Book directly with the restaurant. Reservations are essential given its compact size and recognition.
Anything to know before you go?: It's located upstairs from the Michelin-starred Hofke van Bazel. The menu is concise and changes with the garden's yield, so expect a focused, seasonal offering. It's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
