Yes, if you're in Zagreb and want a countryside day trip focused on seasonal, local Croatian cooking in a relaxed garden setting. It's a specific experience built around Samobor's produce.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

Day-trippers from Zagreb, anyone seeking a calm, place-driven meal, and diners who prioritize a leisurely pace and a direct connection to local, seasonal ingredients.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

Ask what's freshest and most recently foraged or gathered locally. The menu is shaped by seasonal availability, with dishes featuring mushrooms, wild herbs, game, and orchard fruit from the Samobor area.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

Reservations are recommended, especially for garden seating in good weather. Check the opening hours, as it closes earlier on Sundays.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

The garden is central to the experience—sit outside if weather permits. Allow time for the meal to unfold at the slower pace the setting encourages. Samobor is also known for its custard-cream pastry, kremšnita.
