Good to know

Is it worth going out of your way for?: Yes, if you're in Narbonne or the surrounding Languedoc region and want a relaxed, authentic taste of local seafood culture. Its canalside setting and daily-changing menu focused on fresh Mediterranean catch make it a distinctive local table.
Who is it for?: It's for families, friends, and couples seeking a convivial, unpretentious meal in a scenic spot. It suits diners interested in exploring regional seafood and Languedoc wines without a formal atmosphere.
What should you order?: Focus on the coastal specialties. Start with the signature fried fish bones, then try the ragoût de seiche (stewed squid) or the tartare de daurade (sea bream). Look for daily offerings featuring oysters from Bouzigues or mussels from the Thau lagoon.
How do you get a table?: It operates Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner (except Wednesday and Thursday evenings). Given its popularity, booking ahead is recommended, though walk-ins may be possible, especially on the terrace in good weather.
Anything to know before you go?: The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, with a checkered-tablecloth, guinguette vibe. Arrive via the canal towpath for the full experience of its waterside location.
