Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you want architecture and luxury in equal measure. The hilltop Baroque palace is a landmark, and the hotel delivers modern five-star comfort within it, along with a two-Michelin-starred restaurant. It's a retreat with easy access to Cologne.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

Couples on romantic getaways, honeymooners, and travelers seeking a restorative countryside stay with panoramic views. It suits discerning guests who prize dramatic architecture and refined comforts, and who may also want to visit Cologne, just twelve kilometers away.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

The hotel's culinary centerpiece is Vendôme, the two-Michelin-starred French restaurant. For the best hotel experience, request an upper-floor room or terrace-facing suite to secure the sweeping panorama across the Cologne basin.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

Book directly through the hotel. For a reservation at the two-Michelin-starred Vendôme, contact the restaurant separately well in advance.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

The Baroque architecture is preserved on the exterior, but the guest rooms feature modern luxury interiors, not historical reconstruction. The property also includes a trattoria and a full-service spa.
