Good to know

Is it worth going out of your way for?: If you're seeking a classic, ingredient-focused Milanese restaurant away from the main tourist and fashion crowds, yes. It's a destination for its seasonal Italian cooking and intimate garden setting, not for awards-list buzz.
Who is it for?: Diners who prioritize provenance and traditional preparations over flashy technique. It suits date nights, special celebrations, and anyone wanting a quiet, conversation-friendly meal in an elegant, timeless setting.
What should you order?: Focus on the signature mains that showcase the kitchen's sourcing: the calamarata cacio e pepe, strozzapreti with veal ragout, veal cheeks, or suckling pig. Finish with the tiramisu.
How do you get a table?: Book directly with the restaurant.
Anything to know before you go?: It's closed Sunday and Saturday lunch. The summer garden, lit by lanterns, is a highlight for evening dining. The atmosphere is warm and refined, not a scene-driven spot.
