Good to know

Is it worth going out of your way for?: It’s a solid neighborhood trattoria for authentic Sicilian cucina povera and Palermo-style pizza. If you’re in the Politeama area or want a straightforward, wallet-friendly meal away from the tourist centers, it’s a reliable choice.
Who is it for?: Anyone seeking casual, traditional Sicilian cooking—families, friends, locals. It’s for diners who want an unvarnished taste of Palermo’s cucina povera and pizza traditions in an informal setting.
What should you order?: Start with the street-food staples: panelle (chickpea fritters) and crocchè (potato croquettes). For a primo, go for pasta con le sarde. The signature main is sfincione, Palermo’s thick, focaccia-like pizza topped with tomato, onions, Caciocavallo cheese, and breadcrumbs.
How do you get a table?: Walk-ins are typical for a trattoria of this style. It’s open daily for lunch and dinner.
Anything to know before you go?: It’s in a quieter, residential part of central Palermo. The menu is concise and focused on traditional preparations—expect humble ingredients treated with care, not modern twists.
