Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you're in or near Deventer. The consecutive Michelin Plates and Star Wine List White Star indicate a level of culinary and wine curation that makes it a serious destination for modern French cooking at an accessible price.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

It's for diners seeking thoughtful, technically executed food and a good wine list in a relaxed, stylish setting—ideal for date nights, business dinners, or a special-occasion meal without the formality of a starred restaurant.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

Focus on the seafood and composed starters: the beef tartare with langoustine and caviar, North Sea crab with leek and carrot, and langoustines with tiger milk. Explore the White Star-recognized wine list by the glass or bottle.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

Book directly with the restaurant.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

It's located at the Pillows Luxury Boutique Hotel on the riverfront, outside the historic city center. The atmosphere is elegant but can be acoustically lively. Plan for a seated dinner, not a quick stop.
