Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

If you're in Valencia and want a serious tapas bite in a historic market setting, yes. It's a high-caliber casual stop from a chef with two Michelin stars, operating during morning market hours.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

Solo visitors at the counter, friends meeting for a casual bite during market hours, and anyone pairing market browsing with tapas. It's for brunch and lunch when the market is active.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

The signature Bocadillo Ricard Camarena, patatas bravas, and calamares a la plancha. Order at the counter and expect a snack-focused, brisk rhythm.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

No reservations are admitted. Arrive early, especially before 11am, to secure a counter stool. Seats rotate quickly during active market hours.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

It's open Monday through Saturday mornings only, closing by mid-afternoon. The full experience depends on the market's energy, so visit when it's bustling. This is the most casual expression of Camarena's restaurant group.
