Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you are seeking a Michelin-starred, occasion-driven meal with one of Istanbul's definitive rooftop views. The combination of a historic convent setting, a panoramic terrace, and a modern Turkish tasting menu built on regional sourcing makes it a clear destination for a special dinner.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

It's for milestone celebrations, focused business dinners, or anyone wanting a formal, view-anchored fine dining experience. The paced tasting-menu format and refined atmosphere suit those prepared for a full evening, not a casual stop.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

Opt for the multi-course tasting menu to experience the kitchen's approach. Signature dishes include the dolma with smoked yogurt, octopus with eggplant, slow-cooked lamb, and the künefe dessert.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

Book directly with the restaurant. Given its Michelin status and view, reservations are essential.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

Request a table facing the Golden Horn to secure the best view. The restaurant is housed in a historic building in Beyoğlu's Tomtom quarter, so allow time to navigate the narrow lanes. Dress for a formal setting.
