Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you're seeking a top-tier, atmospheric cocktail experience. Its World's 50 Best ranking and clubby, art-filled setting with live jazz make it a distinct destination, not just a hotel amenity.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

It's for cocktail enthusiasts who appreciate conceptual drink menus and a classic, club-like atmosphere, as well as visitors or locals looking for a sophisticated, lively spot for a night out.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

Order from the creative, narrative-driven cocktail list, such as the Zingy Stardust or the No.6 with Lakes whisky. The bar also specializes in vintage champagnes and a deep selection of single malt Scotch.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

Book via SevenRooms. Given its popularity and ranking, reservations are recommended, especially for evenings with live music.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

The entrance is via antique revolving doors on High Holborn. The vibe is deliberately clubby and opulent, with regular live jazz. It's a bar focused on drinks and atmosphere, not a full restaurant.
