Achs Wendelin operates in Burgenland's Weinland region, where continental climate and sandy soils shape wines of mineral precision. The winery works with three core varieties. Merlot Barrique, aged in oak, shows the depth and structure the region's warm days and cool nights can coax from the grape. Pinot Gris captures the aromatic potential of the variety in a cooler continental setting, while St. Laurent—a dark-skinned Austrian specialty—expresses the character of local terroir.
