Ahearne
Ahearne produces wines from Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, a region shaped by Mediterranean sun and limestone soils. The winery works with indigenous varieties that define the area's character: Plavac Mali, the dark-skinned grape behind its flagship red; Bogdanusa and Posip Bijeli, white varieties that appear in Wild Skins; and Drnekusa, which forms Rosina. These wines have been assessed by Decanter. The portfolio reflects the Dalmatian tradition of working with local grapes adapted to coastal conditions—varieties with depth and mineral tension rather than obvious ripeness. Ahearne's focus on regional identity through these grapes positions it within a broader movement toward authenticity on the Croatian coast.
