Alluviale produces wines from Hawke's Bay, New Zealand's premier wine region on the North Island. The winery focuses on two distinct expressions: Tardif Hawke's Bay Sauvignon Blanc, a varietal that captures the region's signature aromatic intensity and mineral precision, and a Merlot–Cabernet Franc blend that draws on the area's warm, sheltered conditions to develop structure and depth. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate. Hawke's Bay's gravelly alluvial soils and temperate maritime climate create ideal conditions for ripening Sauvignon Blanc to crisp, herbaceous character while allowing Bordeaux varieties to achieve balance and complexity.
