Ampeleia

Ampeleia works the Maremma Toscana, a region of Tuscany marked by maritime influence and mineral-rich soils. The winery produces wines from varieties suited to this coastal terrain: Trebbiano for whites, Merlot and Grenache for reds. Bianco di Ampeleia, a Trebbiano-based white, and Empatia, a Merlot, represent the core of the portfolio and have drawn assessment from major critics including Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, and Decanter. Kepos, a Grenache, rounds out the range. The Maremma's warm days and cooling sea breezes create conditions for ripe fruit and structural balance—qualities evident in wines that have registered with prestige critics across multiple publications.
