A second Chardonnay from Zotovich Vineyard rounds out the core offerings. Santa Maria Valley's east-west orientation and morning fog create ideal conditions for these varieties: Chardonnay develops complexity and mineral tension, while Gamay Noir achieves the bright acidity and silky tannins the region is known for.
