Bellaria operates in Toscana, the heart of central Italy's wine country. The winery focuses on two distinct expressions: Sangiovese-based Brunello di Montalcino, a wine of structure and aging potential from the region's most prestigious denomination, and Senso Passito Aglianico, a sweet wine built on the dark-skinned southern Italian variety. The Assunto Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, aged longer than the standard bottling, represents the top tier of the range. Both the Riserva and the core Assunto Brunello have drawn assessment from major critics including Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Decanter, and Wine Enthusiast. The Senso Passito Aglianico rounds out the portfolio with a different stylistic direction—a dessert wine rather than a dry red.
