Borges operates in the Duriense region of Northern Portugal, where the Douro Valley's steep terraced vineyards and schist soils shape wines of mineral precision and depth. The winery draws on traditional Portuguese varieties—Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alvarinho, and Arinto de Bucelas among them—to craft both still wines and fortified expressions. Quinta de Oro Vinho Verde, a blend of Arinto de Bucelas, Alvarinho, and Loureiro, demonstrates the region's capacity for crisp, aromatic whites. The winery's Port program centers on age-statement and vintage releases: Roncão 20 Anos, a complex blend of five red varieties, and Soalheira Vintage Port, built from Souzao, Tinta Amarela, and Touriga grapes. These wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Decanter, and Falstaff.
