Calyptra operates in the Cachapoal Valley, a subregion of Rapel Valley in Chile's Central Valley. The winery focuses on white varietals suited to the region's climate and terroir. Its Vivendo Chardonnay Reserva and Vivendo Sauvignon Blanc Reserve have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Wine Spectator. The Chardonnay Reserva achieved an average prestige rating of 90.5, while the Sauvignon Blanc Reserve rated 90.0. A Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc rounds out the portfolio at 89.1. Sauvignon Blanc, a hallmark of the Rapel Valley, expresses the region's mineral and aromatic character through crisp acidity and citrus-forward profiles. Chardonnay in this zone tends toward balance between fruit and structure, with the elevation and diurnal temperature swings of Cachapoal contributing complexity.
