Canard-Duchêne

Canard-Duchêne produces Champagne from the storied region of northeastern France. The house works with the classic varieties of the appellation: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Its Blanc de Blancs, made entirely from Chardonnay, expresses the mineral precision and acidity that define white Burgundy's noble grape in the chalky soils of Champagne. The Vintage Brut Nature and Authentic Nature Brut draw on Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir—varieties prized for their body, red-fruit character, and aging potential. Both bottlings eschew dosage, allowing the raw structure and complexity of the base wines to emerge. Decanter, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast have rated these releases, recognizing their technical execution and balance across the range.
