Cape Rock
Cape Rock operates in the Olifants River region of South Africa's Western Cape, where warm conditions and diverse soils support both classic Mediterranean and Iberian varieties. The winery's portfolio reflects this terroir through three flagship expressions. GRV blends Grenache Blanc, Viognier, and Roussanne into a white wine that has drawn attention from Falstaff and Decanter. Amnesty layers Viognier, Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan—a Rhône-inflected red with textural complexity. Capa Roca pairs Souzao, Shiraz, Touriga Nacional, and Cabernet Sauvignon, drawing on both Portuguese and Bordeaux traditions. Each wine demonstrates the region's capacity to ripen aromatic whites and structured reds, anchored by the winery's focus on varieties suited to the Olifants River's climate and character.
