CARM
CARM operates in Douro Superior, the remote eastern reaches of Portugal's Douro Valley, where continental extremes and schist soils shape powerful red wines. The winery works with the region's classic varieties—Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional—grapes that thrive in this demanding terrain and deliver the structure and depth the Douro is known for. The Vinha da Urze Grande Reserva Tinto and its sibling Vinha da Urze Reserva Tinto anchor the portfolio, both built from the same trio of grapes in different proportions. These wines have drawn attention from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. The Grande Reserva Tinto rounds out the core range, similarly composed. In Douro Superior's isolation and rigor, CARM finds the conditions to produce reds of substance and aging potential.
