Castra Rubra produces wines from Bulgaria's Thracian Valley, a region gaining recognition for its continental climate and mineral-rich soils. The winery's portfolio centers on two distinct expressions: a Classic Chardonnay that demonstrates the region's capacity for structured white wines, and red blends built from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Butterfly's Rock and the Dominant Red Blend showcase the darker fruit and spice character typical of Thracian reds, where warm days and cool nights develop complexity in these varieties.
