Cataldo Calabretta

Cataldo Calabretta produces wines from Calabria, the southernmost region of mainland Italy. The winery works with indigenous varieties suited to the region's Mediterranean climate: Ansonica for white wines and Gaglioppo for reds and rosés. The Ansonica Bianco expresses the mineral character typical of this ancient Greek varietal, while the Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore and Cirò Rosé draw from Gaglioppo, a grape with deep roots in Calabrian viticulture. Both red and rosé showcase the structure and freshness that define wines from this historic appellation. Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate have rated the winery's releases.
