Château Cotes de Bonde sits in Montagne-Saint-Émilion, the northernmost appellation of the Libournais plateau in Bordeaux. The vineyard produces two principal wines that balance the region's signature Merlot with supporting Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Elegance Montagne-Saint-Émilion, the flagship, draws from all three varieties in a blend that reflects the appellation's clay and limestone terroir. The standard Montagne-Saint-Émilion reverses the emphasis, leading with Cabernet Sauvignon while maintaining the structural partnership of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast and Decanter. The Right Bank's cooler microclimates and later ripening cycles shape wines of restraint and mineral definition—a counterpoint to the riper, more voluptuous profiles found further south in Saint-Émilion proper.
