Château Plaisance

Château Plaisance sits in Montagne-Saint-Émilion, the northern satellite of Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux's Libournais region. The vineyard works with the classic Right Bank grapes—Merlot as the anchor, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc—to produce wines rooted in the region's style: structured, mineral-driven reds with the dark fruit and earthiness typical of the appellation. The Réserve de Famille Montagne-Saint-Émilion, a pure Merlot expression, represents the winery's top offering. A second wine, Château Plaisance-Branne Montagne Saint-Émilion, blends Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon, while the core Montagne-Saint-Émilion draws on all three varieties. Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, and Wine Spectator have all assessed the portfolio. The wines reflect the terroir of a region known for clay and limestone soils that yield ripe, balanced reds with aging potential.
