Château Tour de Pez

Château Tour de Pez sits in Saint-Estèphe, the northernmost appellation of the Médoc, where gravelly soils and a maritime climate shape wines of structure and depth. The estate produces three principal cuvées, each a blend anchored in Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot—the classic pairing of the Left Bank. T de Tour de Pez Rouge, the flagship, marries Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot into a wine that has drawn assessment from Falstaff, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Decanter. The Saint-Estèphe bottling follows a similar framework, with Cabernet Franc and Merlot supporting the Cabernet Sauvignon base. Les Hauts de Pez Saint-Estèphe introduces Petit Verdot to its Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend, adding textural complexity. Saint-Estèphe itself is known for wines of power and earthiness—less opulent than Pauillac to the south, more austere in youth. These are wines built for patience, their tannins firm and their structure evident from release.
