Château Virgile

Château Virgile produces wines from Costières-de-Nîmes, a sun-drenched appellation in the Southern Rhône where Mediterranean warmth and mistral winds shape the character of the fruit. The winery's portfolio centers on the warm-climate grapes of the region: Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The Cuvée l'Enéide Élevé en Fût de Chêne, a Grenache and Syrah blend aged in oak, represents the winery's approach to structured, layered reds. A core Costières-de-Nîmes blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah offers the garrigue-tinged, mineral-driven character typical of the appellation. The rosé, built from Grenache and Syrah, captures the brightness and dry profile the region is known for. Wine Spectator has rated the winery's releases. These wines reflect the terroir of a region where limestone soils and intense sun produce ripe, expressive fruit balanced by the structure and spice that define Southern Rhône character.
