Clos Apalta sits in Apalta Valley, a sub-region of Colchagua in Chile's Rapel Valley. The winery produces Bordeaux-style blends anchored in Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère, grapes that thrive in the region's warm, structured terroir. The flagship Clos Apalta marries these varieties with Merlot and Petit Verdot into a wine that has drawn attention from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, and Decanter. A second offering, Le Petit Clos, follows a similar varietal approach with slightly different proportions. Both wines reflect the character of their valley: ripe fruit, tannin structure, and the distinctive spice and dark berry notes that Carménère brings to Central Valley blends.
