Demessey
Demessey produces wines from Côte de Beaune, the heart of Burgundy's finest terroirs. The winery works with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the region's defining varieties, across several appellations. Its Sous Le Bois de Noël et Les Belles Filles Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge and Mâcon-Cruzille 'Les Avoueries' have both earned 90-point assessments from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. The former, a Pinot Noir from the prestigious Pernand-Vergelesses commune, reflects the elegance and mineral precision characteristic of Côte de Beaune reds. The latter, a Chardonnay from Mâcon-Cruzille, captures the limestone-driven complexity of southern Burgundy whites. Santenay Les Hâtes, another Pinot Noir offering, rounds out the portfolio. These wines demonstrate the technical rigor required to navigate Burgundy's complex classification system and express the subtle distinctions between its micro-terroirs.
