Domaine de la Chique

Domaine de la Chique produces wines from Côtes du Roussillon, the southern reaches of Languedoc-Roussillon where Mediterranean warmth and Pyrenean influence shape distinctive reds. The flagship Côtes du Roussillon blends Carignan, Grenache, and Syrah—varieties that thrive in this sun-exposed terrain and deliver the region's characteristic richness and spice. The wine has been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Falstaff. Côtes du Roussillon as an appellation is known for its old-vine character and mineral depth, qualities that emerge from the schist and granite soils of the foothills. Carignan brings structure and earthy notes; Grenache adds roundness and red-fruit warmth; Syrah contributes dark fruit and peppery complexity. The result is a wine rooted in place—neither the polished elegance of northern Rhône nor the jammy power of overripe fruit, but something more austere and textured, built for food and time.
