Domaine de la Fruitière
Domaine de la Fruitière produces wines from the Loire Valley, France's premier region for crisp whites and mineral-driven expressions. The winery focuses on two signature varieties: Chardonnay and Melon de Bourgogne, the latter the traditional grape of Muscadet Sèvre & Maine. Their portfolio includes a Chardonnay alongside two Muscadet Sur Lie bottlings—Gneiss de Bel Abord and Grande Réserve—each capturing the region's characteristic salinity and structure. The Sur Lie aging process, where the wine rests on its lees, deepens complexity and texture in these Melon-based wines. Loire Valley whites are defined by high acidity, mineral precision, and food-friendly profiles; Muscadet in particular offers briny, stone-fruit character with subtle herbaceous notes. Domaine de la Fruitière's releases have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Falstaff.
