Domaine des Cognettes

Domaine des Cognettes produces Muscadet from the Pays Nantais, the southernmost district of the Loire Valley. The winery focuses on Melon de Bourgogne, the region's signature white variety—a wine of mineral precision and bracing acidity that thrives in the granite and gabbro soils of Sèvre & Maine. The Tentation de Granite et Gabbro Sèlection Vieilles Vignes Muscadet Sèvre & Maine draws from older vines to express the geological character of the terroir, while the Selection des Cognettes Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie, aged on its lees, develops texture and complexity. The winery's Gorges rounds out the portfolio. Wines from Domaine des Cognettes have been rated by Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, and Decanter.
