Domaine des Saumades produces wines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Southern Rhône's most prestigious appellation. The domaine works with the region's classical varieties: Grenache for its red wines, and a white blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, and Bourboulenc. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge, built on Grenache's dark fruit and peppery structure, reflects the warm, stone-studded terroir of the Southern Rhône. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc offers the aromatic complexity and mineral tension characteristic of the region's white wines. Both cuvées have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Falstaff.
