Domaine du Moulié

Domaine du Moulié works with Tannat, the dark and structured grape of South West France's Madiran region. The winery produces three expressions of this varietal: Cuvée Chiffre Madiran, Tannat Madiran, and Madiran. Tannat demands careful handling—it is dense, tannic, and built for aging, with the power to express the limestone and clay soils of its terroir. Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Decanter have all assessed the domaine's releases. The Cuvée Chiffre Madiran stands as the highest-rated of the three bottlings. Madiran itself remains one of France's most distinctive and underestimated red wine appellations, a place where Tannat's raw potential finds its truest voice.
