Domaine Pochon produces Syrah-based wines from Crozes-Hermitage, the largest appellation in the Northern Rhône. The region's steep granite slopes and continental climate shape wines of dark fruit intensity and mineral structure. The winery's portfolio centers on three expressions of this terroir: the Etienne Barret Crozes-Hermitage, Château Curson Crozes-Hermitage Rouge, and Crozes-Hermitage Rouge. Each captures the appellation's characteristic blend of ripe berry, pepper, and earth, with the textural grip typical of Northern Rhône Syrah. Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Wine Advocate have all assessed the winery's releases. Crozes-Hermitage sits just north of the more celebrated Hermitage, offering similar varietal purity at a different price point—wines built for both near-term pleasure and modest aging.
