Domaine Rougeot operates in Meursault, the heart of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, where limestone-rich soils and continental climate shape wines of mineral precision. The domaine works with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the region's defining varieties. Its Pommard, a structured red from the adjacent appellation, demonstrates the darker, earthier character of Pinot Noir grown on clay-dominant slopes. The Meursault 1er Cru 'Charmes' captures the white-wine essence of the region—Chardonnay with the hazelnut depth and subtle oak integration for which Meursault is recognized. A monopole bottling, Bourgogne Côte d'Or Clos des Six Ouvrées, rounds the portfolio with a more approachable expression of the domaine's Chardonnay work. Wine Spectator, Decanter, and Wine Advocate have assessed the range.
