Dr. Randolf Kauer

Dr. Randolf Kauer works the steep vineyard sites of the Mittelrhein, Germany's most dramatic wine region. The winery focuses on Riesling across a range of styles, from the off-dry Bacharacher Kloster Fürstental Spätlese Halbtrocken to the richer, botrytis-touched Kloster Fürstental Auslese. The Oberdiebacher Furstenberg Spätlese rounds out the portfolio. Mittelrhein Rieslings are known for their mineral precision and bright acidity, shaped by the region's slate soils and riverside microclimate. Wine Advocate and Falstaff have both assessed the winery's releases.
