Falchini produces wines from San Gimignano, in the heart of Toscana. The winery focuses on two distinctive expressions: Vernaccia, the region's signature white variety, and Vin Santo, the fortified wine of Chianti. The Vigna a Solatio Riserva, made from Vernaccia, and the Podere Casale I° Reserva Vin Santo del Chianti, a blend of Malvasia Bianca Lunga and Trebbiano Toscano, represent the upper range of the portfolio. Both have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Decanter. The standard Vigna a Solatio offers entry to the Vernaccia expression. San Gimignano's limestone soils and elevation create the conditions for crisp, mineral whites and the slow oxidative aging that defines traditional Vin Santo.
